Savanna
Start your day by exploring one of Illinois' oldest towns. The historic main street dates back to the 1800s, with most of the original buildings. Take a walk down the picturesque street that offers a stroll through time with boutique shops and restaurants. If you're lucky, you may hear some live music. Savanna Museum and Cultural Center
When exploring the historic main street of Savanna, the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center is an important stop to discover Savanna's history. They are open Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 4 PM and it's completely free to enter. They have a permanent railroad exhibit that depicts Savanna, a nurse exhibit, a Wayne King Room, and an incredible Civil War Collection on the top floor. Sippi-Side Pub Grill and Liquor Store
After the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center, it is time for a late lunch/early dinner. Situated along the picturesque banks of the Mississippi River, this pub offers more than just great meals. It provides a perfect spot to unwind with scenic river views. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty burger, fresh seafood, or just a cold drink, Sippi-Side has something for everyone. Shivers Inc
Next, it is time for some dessert. Across the street is Shivers Inc., a mom-and-pop ice cream shop with over 30 flavors of ice cream to choose from. There is indoor and outdoor seating, or you can just cruise on through the drive-thru for a quick sweet fix! The massive 21-foot tall double cones outside Shivers stop traffic as people drive by. Savanna Times Theater
After dinner and dessert, wrap up your evening on Main Street at the historic privately-owned movie theater, Savanna Times Theater. Poopy's Pub
Once the movie is over, end your night at Poopy's Pub. Poopy's Pub is a HUGE biker-friendly tavern offering American grub, a seasonal patio, live bands, and a gift shop.
