Farms & Barns Art Exhibition celebrates the beauty, history, and enduring spirit of rural life at The Next Picture Show gallery in Dixon, IL
Runs Sept. 23 through Oct. 24, 2026
Farms & Barns Art Exhibition celebrates the beauty, history, and enduring spirit of rural life. Inspired by the agricultural landscapes that define Northwest Illinois, the exhibition welcomes artists from across the country to share their interpretations of farming communities, country living, and the working landscapes that feed and shape our world.
This annual exhibition showcases original 2D and 3D artwork in all media, encouraging artists to capture both the timeless traditions and the evolving character of rural America. Realistic or abstract, nostalgic or contemporary, Farms & Barns celebrates the landscapes, architecture, animals, equipment, and everyday moments that continue to define life on the land.
