A free, all-ages night hike through Lowell Park's winter woods under the light of January's Wolf Moon supermoon.
Lowell Park in Dixon hosts a guided night hike under January's full moon, the Wolf Moon, which arrives as a supermoon. The walk winds through the park's winter woods by moonlight and explores how nocturnal animals adapt to survive the cold months, along with how our own senses work in the dark.
The hike runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 22, and is free and open to all ages. It is offered by the Dixon Park District's Ruth Edwards Nature Center at Lowell Park, 2114 Lowell Park, Dixon. For questions, call the nature center at (815) 284-3306.
