Sophie's Cafe
Although I had already had my grand breakfast at the hotel I still had to see this local cafe, which is largely known for its huge drinks selection and breakfast. Unfortunately, I was too full to order a proper meal, but their hash skillet looked really great. I had spinach and feta croissant with taro bubble tea and was not disappointed. RB&W District Park
With an amazing view of the river and a pretty bridge, I had a wonderful walk on the trail while enjoying looking at some great art pieces and sculptures. This is also a great spot for photography and picnics and of course, you can bring your furry friends for maximum fun. An interesting fact is that each September, Rock Falls celebrates the changing of the sculptures with a gala event of great music, and gorgeous, thought-provoking art. The Industrial
Probably the best food I ever had on the trip, this upscale restaurant has more to offer than I imagined. With a great selection of handcrafted spirits including wine and fancy decor, this place was just perfect for ending the day. I had a Mojito and wagyu burger with some great cuts of fresh fries and totally loved it! Pro tip: Go on an empty stomach. The portions are huge, and they all come with free bread. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rock Falls, an IHG Hotel
I checked into Holiday Inn and totally enjoyed my stay at the place. The service was great, they had pretty Christmas decor up, and free coffee and drinks were always available in their lobby, and of course full free buffet breakfast. However, what I loved the most was the balcony from my room, and the view of the river was immaculate! Pro tip: Ask for a room with a river view. Address: 301 E 2nd St, Rock Falls, IL
